France webpage completed!
Details of our hectic visit to Crufts 2005 now online!
Wendy & Caesar travelled to Gatwick Airport for the launch of "Policy for the Carriage of Guide Dogs and Oother Assistance Dogs by UK Airlines" in early April. This is an excellent development for all assistance dog partnerships who wish to travel together both domestically and internationally. The even had widespread news coverage and Caesar was seen briefly on the BBC South Today news.
After much work between ADUK & Eurostar it was announced that Assistance Dogs can now travel on the Eurostar service from 12th April 2005. So early on the 13th April Wendy & Caesar set off for Paris! Catch all the details on our new Paris webpage!
January/February 2005
January was a quiet month, we managed to attend a photoshoot, but that's about all as Wendy was unwell and in bed for over a week. Thankfully Susan was on hand to ensure Caesar got all the exercise he needed when Wendy couldn't take him.
February: Caesar had his annual check up at the doggie dentist and once again got a good report of the excellent state of his teeth and gums. His dentist was so pleased, she has even taken photos of him on her lecture tour to Israel!
We spent a delightful weekend in Salisbury where Wendy was attending a seminar, and Caesar was delighted to spend some play time with a fellow Dog for the Disabled, Yates. Caesar also got the chance to catch up with his half sister Penny this month.

November/December 2004
During November, we both spent a week in London, socialising with friends, sightseeing and taking in a couple of shows as well as helping on the Dogs for the Disabled stand at Discover Dogs.
Having been invited to speak at the Countryside Open Access Launch for Area 3 in December, we obliged and I spoke about access to the difference Caesar has made to my life and countryside for disabled people.
Caesar was chosen as Golden Love of the Week at TheLand of Pure Gold Forum
September/October 2004
Early in September we manned the Dogs for the Disabled stand at Chippenham Agility Club Championship Show again in the grounds of Longleat House. We camped at the event again, but this year the weather wasn't quite so kind to us, the ground was very wet from the rain, Caesar became the proud owner of a tarpaulin to sit on to prevent him laying on the wet ground without the chance to dry out, and by the time we were due to come home on the last day, Wendy was on her last set of dry clothes!
Caesar renewed his Pet Passport, and got one of the new booklet style blue ones.
We did our usual round of fundrasing talks and were particularly thrilled to be the guests of honour at St Hughs' School "Tea for Two" event in aid of Dogs for the Disabled.
In early October we both flew to Glasgow for the I.A.H.A.I.O. conference and you can see details of our visit on our new Scotland web page. We both had a marvellous time in Scotland, an excellent conference, great company and fantastic scenery, what more could we ask for?
July/August 2004
Bow, wow, wow! What a busy couple of months it has been!
Apart from taking part in several fundraising events and talks, July was the time when we took our first holiday abroad together, and Caesar and Penny (his half sister) became the first two dogs from Dogs for the Disabled to take a holiday abroad together. What fun! Keep your eyes open for the holiday webpage to appear soon!
August is Caesars' month in the Dogs Today Calendar for 2004, in case you aren't lucky enough to have a copy, the pictures and article can be seen below.
During August we were equally busy, we attended the Wag & Bone Show at Windsor Racecourse, where we had great fun taking part in two demos for Dogs for the Disabled in the Working Dogs Ring, and making a guest appearance in the Gold Good Citizen Demonstration in the afternoon.
Later that week we attended a meeting at Eurostar House to discuss the practicalities of taking assistance dogs on this train service, and at the end of the week we took part in a collection for Dogs for the Disabled at Harrods.
May/June 2004
Early May 2004, Caesar enjoyed his first two flights on a trip down to Jersey in the Channel Islands, see details of our trip on the new Jersey webpage.
June...the warmer weather is upon us, and Caesar got one of his birthday presents early! Here he is in his new paddling pool in the garden.
25th June 2004... Caesar is 5 today! He celebrated by having some four footed friends to a party, you can see all the deatils on his 5th birthday webpage
